Comments: I have an "overuse" injury on my fretting hand. Whenever I play more than 30 minutes the soft tissue between my thumb and forefinger (the "fretting muscle" I call it) swells. There isn't much pain, but my Dr says "No more barre chords!" for at least 6 months. Anyway, all that to say I was looking for information on three note chords and The Essential Guitar Guide had an intro that reminded me I needed to master the fretboard, not just know it, but know it cold. The fretboard exercise is coming in handy (no pun intended) as I struggle to regain my place in the band. Thanks for putting it where I could find it (Google search for "three note chords").

Comments: Good site, even though I am familiar to most of it. I have been looking for a site that cuts the crap (like this does with chords and the basics) on how to use the "right" scales over the right chords. Should one just do arrpedios (yeah, I know it's spelled diffrently, can't remember it now though), and find the notes from that? It sure as hell makes it sound boring. If anyone knows of a good way to really get the grip of this, please write it here in the g-book.

Comments: I have come to have a slight interest i call it but my girlfriend calls it an addiction sometimes to learnin the guitar but i dont quit understand somethin how do you know what strings to play when playin a song?
